Jag har funderat på om man kan sätta in en av volvos 4-cylindriga motorer från s40 i en 480... finns det någon som har erfarenhet om detta... skulle vara kul och veta, kanske till och med köpa nån kvaddad s40 o byt motor ev växellåda, en 480 med 150-200 kusar skulle va kul att se...

Har spanat in denna kombination oxå, det finns ju en 2.0 lättrycksturbon som skulle vara intressant. Ser ut att i princip fungera med samma motor och växellådsfästen.

S/V 40 motorer med växellådorna M3P, M5P och M5D dem växellådorna passar på B18/20 motorerna.
M5D är växellådan till x40 diesel, och dieselmotorn är ju en B19TD alltså samma motor som sitter i 400an.

M3P är tydligen samma v-låda som sitter i 480T o 480ES med B20F.
Däremot är M5P och M5D förstärkta för att klara vridet och effekten från dieseln och B4204S(volvos 5a med ena cylindern borta ) motorerna.

Effekt i kW 100/6100rpm
Max vridmoment i Nm 183/4500rpm

Min 480T står med havererad låda o jag tror jag ska försöka med en från x40.

Låter otroligt intressant, jag var helt ovetande om detta. Så vilka modeller satt dessa växellådor i (T4, 2.0T...6)? Vet du hur det är med utväxlingen på dem? Vilken är starkast? Är det olika ingåendeaxlar?

Sedan har jag ett problem till. Jag har den gamla 200 mm kopplingen på min. Jag har skaffat den hårdaste variant av denna jag hittat, men jag är rädd att den snart inte håller måttet. Hur är kopplingarna på x40 modellerna, får de att använda på något praktiskt försvarbart sätt?

Lite trött så här på morgonkvisten

Visste inte att S40i lådorna (de som är renaultlådor då) var förstärkta. Att de ska gå att bulta på, men med annan utväxling känner jag till. Men hur blir det med Hastighetsmätaren? är det samma signal?

Det finns väl en anledning att dessa lådor inte satt tillsammans med 2.0T och T4. Ska man ge sig på ett sånt här projekt så ska man använda volvos lådor och lägga den lilla (i sammanhanget) extra tiden och ändra fästena så de passar en låda som kommer att hålla.
