Hej jag har lite frågor till er som kan mycket om volvo 480.

Jag har en volvo 480 från -87 som jag lämnade in för kamremsbyte på volvo hösten 2002. Bilen hade gått 8000 mil så jag tyckte det var dags att byta kamrem. Jag lämnade in bilen och fick tillbaks den dgaen därpå. nu idag 040929 vid ungefär 13000 mil så kan jag konstatera att min bil fått kamremshaveri och att motern är förstörd. Jag bett en expert kollla på den konstatera att det är spännrullen som har orsakat haveriet. När jag kontaktar volvo verstaden där jag lämnat in bilen får ja veta att man inte bytt spännrullen. Är inte detta konstigt? Borde man inte byta spänrulle i samband med ett kamremsbyte?

Vore tacksam för ett svar och hör gärna av er om ni har någre egna erfarenheter av det här.

Självklart skall spännrullarna bytas vid byte av kamrem. Du borde ha garanti på jobbet - värt att kolla upp.

Efter 5000 mil SKALL inte kamremmen haverera, allra helst då det inte gått mer än två år sedan den byttes!!!!

Stå på dig och få verkstan att stå för motorrenovering eller byte!

Jag håller fullt med Björn ovan! Men lämnar in en lite tråkig brasklapp.
Har för mig att det i serviceboken står något om att kamremmen skall bytas var 8000:e mil men att spännrulle etc bara behöver bytas varannan gång som kamremmen byts.
Detta är inte helt säkert då jag inte kollat i min servicebok utan tar det direkt ur skallen.
Kan hända att det är annat om det är en 87:a också. Min är en 90:a så...

Dock tycker jag som Björn att verktaden borde kunna tänka ett steg länge än vad som står i serviceboken. Om det gått 15 år sedan spännrullen sattes på plats så borde de byta den även om bilen bara rullat 8000 mil!!
Så stå på dig och hoppas det fixar sig!!!

Tråkigt men sant, rem bytes vid 9000 mil, rulle o löphjul var annan gång dvs 18000 mil. Från början var det 12000 mil.

Kan ju även bero på för hårt spänd rem.

Jag har kollat upp med verstaden nu och jag kommer inte få ut nåt på garantin. Har även pratat med en anställd på konsument verket och han hävdade att mina chanser var mycket små att vinna i fallet. Jag ser det här som en tråkig men nyttig erfarenhet. Nästa gång ja byter kamrem så ska jag fråga extra om spännrullen. Har iallafall bestämmt mig för att skrota bilen nu. Ni som är intresserade av bildelar till en röd volvo 480 -87 hör gärna av er.

Min fick en ny kamrem för ca 2000mil sen, verkstaden som gjorde jobbet sa inget innan om spännrullen men ringde mig under arbetets gång för att fråga om dom fick byta. Det fick dom...så skulle det ha gått till hos dig, merkostnaden för rullen är minimal.Hoppas du inte tappat suget för 480, om din är i bra skick annars kanske du skulle efterlysa en komplett motor via sidan? Det behöver ju inte bli dyrt.
