Stegrar upp i varv spontant, från 850-900 till 1400

Detta problem började uppträda först när jag kopplade ur EGR för 2-3 månader sen (modulatorventilen hade gått åt pipan). Till en början så var det så sjukt bra att efter ett ½ år få höra motorn gå jämnt som en klocka, som den borde gå. Upptäckte dock ett kort tag efter att den av någon anledning för får sig att växla om tomgångsvarvtalen till 1400 istället för 850-900. Den står hur stabilt som helst på dessa varvtal, men det är irriterande att stå på röd ljus och höra hur hela interiören vibrerar.
Vad jag märkt så uppträder detta aldrig när motorn är kall. Det börjar dyka upp från 50C, men det kan även försvinna lika hastigt som det kommit fram. Det märks ju speciellt när man trycker ner kopplingspedalen och hör att varvtalen ibland står på 1400 och ibland på 850-900. Ett typiskt scenario är om man står i garaget, öppnar huven och slår på motorn för att lyssna på den ett tag. Rätt vad det är så växlar den om varvtalen och det spelar ingen roll hur mycket man gasar, den återvänder till en hög tomgång. Återställningen verkar endast komma in i samband med man byter växel.
Har kollat temperaturgivaren (ny bytt), styrboxen (testat med en annan), gasspjällsbrytaren (ny bytt), men allt verkar OK. Kan vattentemperaturgivaren ha något med detta att göra kanske?

Vet verkligen inte vad jag ska titta på härnäst så lite insikt från er kunniga vore uppskatttat.

Efter en närmare titt så är jag helt övertygad om att EGR ventilen har med detta och göra då jag kan få tomgången att stå på 850-900, men den hostar och är väldigt instabil då modulatorventilen är trasig och aktiverar EGRen på tomgång. Nu är min fråga, är det någon som har en modulatorventil till salu eller kanske vet om en 440/460 har en passande modulatorventil? Gjordes 440/460 med EGR ens?

Jag har nu undersökt både modulatorventil samt gasspjällsgivaren och uteslutit båda av följande anledningar:

- Felet med hög tomgång uppträder när modulator & EGR -ventilen båda är urkopplade.

- Jag har tittat till motståndsvärdena på inte bara min gasspjällsgivare utan även en 460 samt 740 på skroten (båda hade samma givare) och jag fick exakt samma värden. Därmed kan den inte vara trasig.

När jag ändå stog och petade under huven igår så tittade jag även till tomgångsreglerventilen och provade att strypa utloppsslangen för att se om det påverkade motorn någonting och till min stora förvåning så kunde jag till och med strypa slangen helt utan att varven påverkades! Detta kan väl bara betyda en sak, gasspjället läcker in luft i stängt läge. Är detta något som går att justera eller är det bara att byta ut hela spjället?

När jag var nere och rotade idag så drog jag bort luftintagskanalen så att jag kunde se båda spjällen medan motorn var igång. Så fort kanalen lossnade så hördes det ett förfärligt högfrekvent susande vid spjället. "Hur kan det susa här om motorn går på tomgång? ", tänkte jag. Jag stoppade ner fingret och kände efter längs spjällen för att se om luft läcker in och märkte genast att mitt finger sögs mot ett litet hål i taket vid det nedre spjället så jag tog skruvmejseln och justerade skruven på vänster sida av spjället (inte den vid gasspjällsgivaren) och vips så började motorns varvtal att sjunka! Jag justerade tills varvtalen låg på 800-850 och därmed var det problemet ur världen! Spjället hade alltså varit felinställt sedan jag köpt bilen. Om detta beror på att någon mixtrat med det eller om Volvo sålt bilen i ett sådant skick vet jag inte. Har dock hört att Volvo upptäckte detta fel på våra 480s när de började säljas och släppte kort därefter en manual för att korrigera detta fel.

Min förrförra kärra var en käringkörd Ford Sierra 2.0 GL -87. Den var mycket fin, hade gått 6000 mil men drabbades av något liknande, fast med pendlande tomgång. Det var ett oändligt jidder om EGR-ventiler, luftmassemätare osv. Inget verkade gå att peka säkert på. Till slut for skiten åt skogen. Orka! Jag orkar nog lite mer med min Volvo...
